Stefan Spycher is Vice Director-General of the Federal Office of Public Health (FOPH) in Switzerland where he is responsible for the Directorate Health Policy. Spycher studied economics and political science in Berne, Basle and Bonn. He wrote his thesis about the risk adjustment in the mandatory health care insurance in Switzerland. Before his function at the FOPH, Spycher was head of the Swiss Health Observatory (2006-2008) and Director of a private applied research institute (1992-2006).
